Identity & Imagination Workshop (for beginners)

This reflective writing workshop invites participants to explore identity, desire, longing, and self-trust through guided creative prompts and quiet reflection. Together, we’ll create space for curiosity, emotional honesty, and possibility, without pressure to explain, label, or perform.

Designed for anyone navigating attraction to more than one gender — whether bi, pan, queer, fluid, unlabeled, or still discovering the language that fits.

No writing experience required. Pens, paper, and imagination encouraged.

Program fee: $500 (available virtually or in-person)

Binary Beats

Binary Beats: Hip-Hop, Masculinity & the Politics of LGBTQ Visibility is a 45-minute presentation tracing how a genre built for the voiceless developed its own systems of erasure. From the South Bronx origins of hip-hop to the streaming era, this session examines how hypermasculinity became economically valuable, why bisexual women were rendered as fantasy while bisexual men were made culturally impossible, and what it costs when artists are forced to fragment themselves to belong. Drawing on lyric analysis, cultural history, and public health data, this workshop argues that the question was never whether queer artists could exist in hip-hop.
It was always on whose terms.
